It appears that switching from the “gold standard” to the “debt standard” has opened the door a wee bit too far for those in charge. So much so that most of the “official” published statistics put out by the government and media are highly suspect.
If the “real” facts came out, all those foreigners holding U.S. Dollars would start bailing out and send the dollar down the tubes fast. So it makes sense that the numbers are getting “fudged” to postpone the day of reckoning.

we get the idea that it’s about at the same level it was 8 years ago.
However, if we factor out the crumbling dollar and map the price in euros …
it looks like the market has lost about a third of it’s value in the last 8 years. Hmmm …
Well, I guess we don’t have to worry about inflation at least
Umm … cancel that.
And no wonder they quit reporting M3 money supply growth in 2006 …
the buggers have been printing the stuff like crazy.
I suspect not many will need this one to know how well wages are keeping up with all this …
