| Our
thoughts, attitudes and beliefs do, most assuredly, play an extremely important
role in determining our ultimate success at any endeavor, but they're important
primarily because they evoke something even more essential to success.
"What's that?"
you ask.
A feeling.
People aren't motivated by thoughts per se, but by the feelings
those thoughts evoke. Books like "Think and Grow Rich" or
"The
Power of Positive Thinking" have been around long enough that we should
all
be very successful, indeed, by now. The truth is millions of those
books and others like them have been sold. The trouble is people read them
and then don't DO anything. It's the feeings - excitement, passion,
etc. - that make us get up out of the chair and
DO something different
with our lives. All your mind is gonna do is say "Wow, that's an
intriguing idea", and that'll be the end of it...if there's no intense
feeling triggered. And, let's face it, it can take some pretty darn
intense emotion to get most people to move out of their comfort zone and
attempt something that's a little bit scary.
Think about
what you just read. Any good advertising copywriter will confirm
it. People buy products and services because they want a certain
feeling.
A man doesn't buy a car with a 5 liter engine because of the horsepower.
He buys it for the feeling of supremacy and power he feels it will
give him. Kids don't want a 1000 mHz computer to get their homework
done faster. They want it to play the latest games and have fun,
feel as "cool" as their friends, feel successful and masterful.
Here are a
few excerpts from master copywriter Joe Vitale's "Unspoken Marketing
Secrets":
-
People only
do things for the good feelings they get
-
People buy for
emotional
reasons and justify their decisions with whatever logic they can find or
create, no matter how ridiculous
-
People will follow
commands that make them feel superior
-
People will spend
their last dime to be entertained
-
People will pay
any
amount of money to have their inner states changed
[hmmm...maybe
I should charge you something before I reveal the rest of this... :-)

So it seems to
me that...what's even
more important than "mindset" is feelings
and emotions. What guarantees success in any pursuit is intense
emotion, passion so compelling it carries you through any obstacles or
setbacks and makes you unstoppable.
Still not convinced
that this is
"the key" to getting more sales or finding a better
relationship or whatever you would like to change about your life? ...that
your inner emotional state is what determines how successful you become?
This isn't
merely my persoanl opinion. Here's some hard science to support it.
Research at the Institute of HeartMath® has shown that
"...
electromagnetic fields generated by the heart ... permeate every cell and
may act as a synchronizing signal for the body in a manner analogous to
information carried by radio waves. Particular emphasis will be devoted
to evidence demonstrating that this energy is not only transmitted internally
to the brain but is also detectable by others within its range of communication.
The heart generates the largest electromagnetic field in the body.
The electrical field as measured in an electrocardiogram (ECG) is about
60
times greater in amplitude than the brain waves recorded in an
electroencephalogram (EEG). The magnetic component of the heart's
field, which is around 5000 times
stronger than that produced by the brain,
is not impeded by tissues and can be measured several feet away from the
body with Superconducting Quantum Interference Device (SQUID)-based magnetometers
(1). We have also found that the clear rhythmic patterns in beat-to-beat
heart rate variability are distinctly altered when different emotions are
experienced. These changes in electromagnetic, sound pressure, and blood
pressure waves produced by cardiac rhythmic activity are "felt" by every
cell in the body, further supporting the heart's role as a global internal
synchronizing signal." (emphasis

So who else knows
about this
and why is this important for you?
Let's say,
for example, one of the things you might like to succeed at is working
from home, creating an online business, financial freedom, or something
along those lines. That's a fairly universal desire these days.
Now, let me
relate to you the story of an intriguing event that took place in the summer
of 2001, just over a year ago, that should provide you with some pretty
convincing evidence.
We began this
section with a quote from John Harricharan, whom I view as a true visionary.
One thing John has said is "The next trend will be spiritual. We went through
the information age. The information age is over. We're now going into
the spiritual age." So, that summer, John put together a conference
on "How to use spiritual principles for success in business and in life."
Now, for a
long time, there's been a big taboo about mentioning those two words in
the same breath. In fact, you can still find plenty of articles of
the web telling you that you never, never want to mention anything
spiritual on a business website. That's one of the "ten cardinal sins".
Well...guess what? I think you'll find the list of speakers and attendees
at John's conference very interesting.
They included:
Jonathan
Mizel, Declan Dunn, Joe Vitale, Rick Beneteau, Yanik Silver, Butch
James, Bob Scheinfeld, Charles Burke and many others.
...some of the
greatest marketing minds, internet gurus, authors, speakers, and coaches
revealing the tried and tested heart-felt inner path to wealth and
happiness.
The following
description of Joe Vitale's and Joe Sugarman's meeting at another conference
last year sums it up rather nicely:
Joe
Sugarman, the genius behind the world-wide success of BluBlocker sunglasses
and the author of several masterpieces on marketing, walked up to me and
congratulated me on my "Spiritual Marketing" book.
"I didn't know
you were so spiritual," he said. "That was a real surprise to learn. That's
what I've been doing for years."
(full
article here)
Yes, and Joe Vitale
has been doing it for some 30 years also. In fact, a majority of the successful
people out there have. They just never knew anyone else was because
no one felt comfortable discussing it openly. John Harricharan's conference
was significant because it gave some of them "permission" to talk openly
about what's really been responsible for their
success. For years, many were afraid to mention it for fear of losing all
their clients.
So the real
secrets that no one's been talking about are finally coming out.
Now you can benefit by learning the truth about the steps that really
lead to success.
Give yourself
a few moments to truly grasp the significance of all this.
Then, when
you're ready, let's move on to the first, and probably the most important,
step toward creating your success at whatever
you pursue.
