we will primarily be addressing the mechanics - what steps to take, what
tools work best - of starting your own web-based business. If you reflect
back on your previous education, you probably had a few excellent teachers
along the way and a few you could have done nicely without. We need both
good information and someone who can communicate that information
to us properly. Without both, we can end up wasting a tremendous amount
of time. The number of skills we need can seem hopelessly confusing and
overwhelming at first.
And all the sales pitches only confuse
matters more, each claiming to be the ultimate solution and better than
the others by far.
Now, the truth is, some folks may
look at all this and decide it would be a whole lot simpler to just
invest
in someone else's business and avoid this rather overwhelming task. And
truthfully, both investing and starting your
own business are legitimate pathways to financial freedom. Each meets the
primary requirement that all wealthy people seek:
Create multiple streams
of income that pay you,
whether you work or not
Multiple sources
of income, that do not need you to be present for them to keep producing,
are your key to financial freedom. Ideally, both investing and your own
businesses should be part of your strategy. However, if you've done the
preliminary work of clarifying your desires and establishing a wealth consciousness
from the Wisdom section, you most likely have some specific passions you
want to share with the world and your own business will be the primary
focus.

It'll be essential for simplifiying the process and choosing which of the
skills and techniques are going to be most important for you. Not
all of those areas above will necessarily be ideal for your product or
service. Each step of the process will involve choices that will lead you
to focus on what you need next and what you can skip. Contrary to what
advertisers would have you believe, there is no "one-size-fits-all".
