| Having the
greatest product since sliced bread is one thing. Accessing the best means
of marketing that product is even greater.
Recently, I
was invited by Gayle Bell, VP of Training and Education for Market Depot
Inc, to check out their new, state-of-the-art online iConference Center.
At first, I politely declined as this means of marketing did not fit into
my schedule of tools for marketing my LetterheadEmail software.
Without pressure, Gayle kindly informed me how I could setup a room exclusively
for my product and I could do this for FREE while testing the service.
I considered her offer and decided I would take a look.
I easily setup
a free account and made my presence known in the lobby of the iConference
Center. I made myself available to the many marketers who frequent the
iConference rooms daily. I was able to assist potential customers with
downloads, installations as well as how to get the most out of using my
software during the 14-day free trial my company offers. I soon learned
what we were missing in our marketing efforts.
The iConference
Center offered more than a place to promote my software. It provided a
means of communicating one-on-one with potential customers. It identified
problem areas concerning downloads and installations and how I could make
the process more user friendly. It allowed me to offer scheduled classes
to assist participants on how to get the most out of my software. I was
able to educate and inform potential users about the benefits and advantages
of using my product. But I was not alone in my efforts.
Market Depot
Inc. offers support like I have not seen on the internet. Gayle Bell constantly
assisted me with training and education, as she does in other iConference
rooms. When technical assistance was required pertaining to the iConference
Center, it was only a click away. This team demonstrated competence as
well as professionalism in resolving issues quickly, not that there were
many.
Prior to accessing
the Market Depot iConference Center, the percentage of software downloads
that upgraded to paid averaged between 6% - 10%, monthly. During three
weeks of using the iConference Center, my sales have risen to more than
33%. I can no longer be without this tool. I cannot believe this valuable
tool will cost my company only $11.95 per month.
I am able to
network with other marketers in a professional environment. Already, 4-weeks
later, repeat sales are happening.
